Finance Executive (6 Months Maternity Cover)

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Finance Assistant shall provide support to the core Finance team on the following:
Monitoring and arranging trade finance instruments to support revenue generating activities
Accounts payable – booking invoices and processing payment
Customer collection management
Customer GIRO deductions – processing GIRO forms, updating GIRO status, tracking collections
Processing customer refunds
Track and bank cheques received from customers
Other administrative tasks to support and continuously improve overall financial and accounting operations
You will be a good candidate if you:
Have a basic understanding of accounting and finance, as attested by a Diploma in Accounting or Finance (or an equivalent qualification)
Are organised and systematic
Have a working understanding of accounting and banking functions, especially month end closing and reporting, GIRO, cheques and payments in general
Have used Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Extra points if you:
Are tech-savvy, and proficient with Microsoft applications, such as Excel
Have worked in a fast paced, fast growing setup before
