As a Business Development Manager at Flo Energy, you will be responsible for driving the company's investment strategy in renewable energy assets (primarily Solar Systems). You will identify potential investment opportunities and expand the portfolio of renewable energy assets across Singapore. Flo Energy sources, invests in, and manages renewable energy assets across the region.

What you will be doing:

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of Flo’s solar solutions. This is a hands-on role where you will own the full business development cycle: from identifying new opportunities and building client relationships, to collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery. You will combine commercial acumen with cross-functional collaboration to deliver value for our customers and long-term growth for Flo.

  • Identify, research, and qualify leads in target markets; design and execute sales strategies to secure new projects and deliver revenue growth.

  • Build trusted relationships with (future) clients, conduct needs analysis, present Flo’s value proposition, and lead contract negotiations.

  • Act as an ambassador for Flo at conferences, industry events, and customer forums to strengthen visibility and networks.

  • Align with colleagues on project delivery to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Input opportunity-specific variables into Flo’s financial model to define pricing, and determine key KPIs such as IRR and payback. Work closely with Finance to review and validate the model, and present pricing to customers.

  • Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to manage the EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contractor, ensuring effective contracting, coordination, and oversight of project execution. Together, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of solar assets, making sure projects are delivered according to technical specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

  • Provide market and customer input into Flo’s business plan and product roadmap; ensure projects are supported by the right technology.

  • Partner with Marketing to design and run campaigns that position Flo’s solar solutions to potential customers and stakeholders.

  • Partner with Legal to ensure contracts and agreements are reviewed, compliant, and finalised in a timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, track pipeline progress, and provide forecasts to support business planning.

You will be a good candidate if you have: 

  • A degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or partnerships, ideally in renewable energy, utilities, or related industries.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Tech/Product teams.

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with ability to interpret market and financial data.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Passion for renewable energy and the transition to sustainability.

  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute on strategic plans to grow the business.
